Friday Night Funkin' is a musicality game in which the player controls a person called Boyfriend, who should overcome a progression of rivals to keep dating his life partner, Girlfriend. The player should pass various levels, alluded to as "weeks", each containing three melodies. Every week, the player faces an alternate adversary, however some digress in structure from this by means of the consideration of various rivals.
